The shop I miss is the corner newsagent that stocked everything. Amazon can't replicate wasting twenty pence on comics and sweets, that particular kind of randomness. Whizzer and Chips with its free gifts was the weekly ritual. Physical media's not gone, it just survives in smaller niches now, vinyl being the obvious one, and shops are already turning themselves into "experiences" to survive. I buy most of my records online these days, and even the shops that are left mostly just price-match Discogs.
