Interior design I edge toward chaotic collector rather than clean minimalist, I aspire to "curated eclectic" but realistically there's just too much stuff. Not a hoarder, but full minimalism kills creativity for me, I need things around me for inspiration. The record collection, six thousand and counting, is organised but genuinely overwhelming, and it's the one thing that'll never go. There's "just in case" tech debris in the drawers too, and clothes that probably don't fit any more. My home office doubles as record storage, so the Zoom background people comment on is completely real, not staged, and it's a decent icebreaker, people ask about specific records. I'll spray a bit of perfume before a call too, small ritual. My remote workspace is the opposite though, just a laptop and a notebook, nothing else, and I appreciate that clean version just as much.
