Most of us are just trying to do good work, stay on top of things, and not burn out in the process. But the way we treat ourselves — our bodies, minds and basic needs — doesn’t always help.
Skipping meals. Powering through. Ignoring the ache in your back or the fog in your head. It’s easy to assume that pushing harder will get us there faster.
But what if the real gains come from pausing, fuelling properly, and moving differently?
I’m terrible for it. I hunch over my desk, skip breakfast, eat dinner at 11pm.
It works, so I keep doing it. The creativity flows, deadlines get met, clients are happy.
But maybe there’s a better way.
This week at ZEST, our regular in-person meetup in Greenwich, we’re looking at what really fuels creative flow — from movement and meals to mindset and...maybe biscuits.
Because the small things stack up.
You don’t need a total overhaul — just start noticing the conditions that help your best work happen.
If you’ve got something that helps you stay sharp or feel more like yourself at work, I’d love to hear it. Or join the conversation on LinkedIn.
I’ll pass on what I learn next week.
Enjoy your Quick PINT — and maybe something nourishing too
